It's a short road ride from the parking area to and from the trail at the Petroleum Center trail head

Just under the railway bridge across Oil Creek you'll see some replicated derricks of the Benninghoff Farm Tableau

There are a couple shelters along the trail to take cover in when necessary

At about the midpoint of the trail is a picnic area with outhouse facilities.  There is also access to hiking trails here, one of which goes to an overlook

The hike to the overlook is at least a half mile of steep switch backs
